Scale A LTR Terms 3 & 4 2024 (Refreshment Leave)

Are you looking for a rural school teaching experience less than 5 minutes from the Palmerston North city boundary? A position has become available as our Junior Team leader has taken refreshment leave for the remainder of the 2024 year.

This as an opportunity to appoint a kaiako who has motivation and ambition to teach in our junior school, and for us to support them to grow professionally. This is a wonderful position for an passionate and effective teacher who:

  • Is akonga focused and is capable of building effective relationships.
  • Is willing to be innovative to improve learning outcomes.
  • Sees themselves as a learner and consistently reflects on their own practise.
  • Is able to make connections with our Kairanga values and transfer this into everyday contexts, consistently modeling these values.
  • Can implement culturally responsive & relational pedagogies in their classroom.
  • Is highly organised and able to ensure the effective management and operation of the day to day running of a year 2-3 classroom.

The successful applicant will begin teaching at the start of Term 3 2024, or an agreed alternative, and will work as a valued member of our Koru team.
