Michelle Leighton, Room 6 (Yr 6, 7 and 8) teacher and our Deputy Principal.
She makes learning fun, exciting and relevant. She loves teaching Writing and Art, and she loves motivating pupils to be their best.
Room 6 (Yr 6,7&8) teacher and head of PE.
Matthew came to us in 2011. He loves teaching Maths and PE.
He is well organised and enjoys relating to pupils throughout the school, especially the older ones. All Sport and PE enquiries should come to Matthew.
Room 4 (Yr 5) teacher and head of ICT.
He loves music and showing pupils the latest gadget and how best to use it. His class and Room 7 work in closely with each other to provide the best learning environment we can.
He loves to teach pupils to sing and enjoys taking the choir.
Room 7 (Yr 3,4) teacher and our Special Needs Co-ordinator. Donna has particular talent and knowledge in the teaching of Literacy. Donna loves teaching the Social Sciences and seeing pupil’s knowledge of a subject grow and grow and grow!
Room 3 (Yr 3) teacher and our Assistant Principal. She is also the leader of the Junior Syndicate. Susan loves seeing the growth and progress of her pupils and they respond well to her. She has particular strength in Maths, Literacy and especially loves to teach Science.
Room 1 (NE & Yr 1) teacher. Jo enjoys getting our ‘newbies’ and seeing them increase in independence, plus seeing them progress so quickly. Jo is a talented Art teacher.
Tracey joined us in 2011 and teaches in Room 2, the Yr 1 and 2 class. Tracey has great skill in Mathematics, plus really enjoys the creativity of our young people.
Our Office Manager, keeps us organised and is able to help with all your enquiries. All money and notes from home can come to Ann in the office. Ann works every day from 8.30am, through to 3.15pm.
Our Principal, has been here since late 2006. He’s been principal at three schools, for a total of 16 years. He loves teaching and really enjoys teaching Maths and Reading. He says that Reading is the most important skill someone can learn and to love books is a precious thing.
We have several teacher Aides in our school, who work mainly in the junior area, teaching group work set by the teachers, or phonics lessons, organise our Library, plus assist some special needs pupils as well. A hard working and dedicated bunch, our Teacher Aides are very much an integral part of our school and the classroom programmes.
